I’ve changed the position of my potted sunflower, as we’ve had a couple of overcast weeks, and I want it to receive maximum sun exposure.

We have one surviving sunflower. The other has been eaten away, by snails as the tell-tale slime was glistening on the stem one morning.

The unfortunate sunflower:

Ah, snails! I remember the disappointment one year of discovering that my row of baby sunflowers had all been eaten straight through the stem!
